Job summary

A prominent technology firm based in Singapore is seeking a Networking Engineer to support and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure. Candidates must have a CCNA qualification and at least 1-2 years of relevant experience. The role requires extensive knowledge of Cisco and Alcatel technologies, with responsibilities including large-scale wireless deployment and site surveys. This is a fully onsite position, with standard workdays from Monday to Friday, and alternative Saturdays half-day.

Qualifications

About the role

  • Fully onsite and no Remote access

Job Description

• Experience supporting, maintaining, and Deploying Cisco, Alcatel, Dell and Aruba equipment.
• Experience in tracing end users remotely and Network device power requirements.
• Experience in structure cabling technologies and data centre methodologies.
• The engineer must have experience in large scale wireless deployment, maintenance, and support.
• Conduct wireless site surveys utilising spectrum analysis technologies, recommend and implement corrective action
• Perform wireless site surveys, conduct site evaluations, and generate Heat Maps utilising Ekahau Survey Pro and Air Magnet Survey.
• Basic Knowledge about servers (Wintel and Linux and virtualisation).
• Experience tracking and understanding the Cisco and Alcatel security vulnerability reports and providing the SW/ HW bug fixes.
• Experience using L1 network tools such as Cable tester (fibre and copper) for troubleshooting.
• Experience working with Cisco N9K, C-3560, C-4500, C-3650, C-6500, C9300, and Alcatel 6K switches.
• Experience working with Cisco WLC 8500, 5500, Alcatel WLC 4550, 4750XM, AOS 8. x version
• Experience dealing with Cisco/Alcatel TAC case escalation and issue reporting.
• Have substantial experience working with extensive enterprise support and maintenance of LAN /WLANinfrastructure.
• Proficient in IP subnet, OSI layers, PBR, OSPF, BGP, STP, VTP, SNMP, QoS, HSRP, VPC, VRF, VSS, DNS, DHCP, NAC, LAN Security, 802.1x Auth, SSL/TLS, 802.11, RADIUS, TACACS+, Linux, and Microsoft OS is a must.
• Proficient in using network analyser/sniffing tools such as Sniffer, Wireshark, and Ethereal for troubleshooting network issues. They must understand and troubleshoot problems using packet dumps/traces produced by such tools.
• Experience in Syslog message extraction and co-relation techniques
