Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in firewalls, Cisco routing and switching, and data center build and migration projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset for working across technology and business teams.
Key Responsibilities
·Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-availability network infrastructure across global data centers.
·Take full ownership of firewall platforms, including configuration of security policies, NAT rules, high availability (HA) clustering, and advanced troubleshooting.
·Lead and contribute to data center buildouts and migrations
·Manage and optimize Cisco routing and switching environments, including Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR platforms.
·Configure and troubleshoot core network protocols at Layer 2 and Layer 3 (VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
·Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
·Ensure network reliability through proactive incident management and thorough root cause analysis.
·Oversee and deliver multiple projects concurrently, ranging from hardware upgrades to complex migration initiatives.
·Collaborate with external vendors and service providers for implementation support, issue resolution, and performance tuning.
·Maintain up-to-date documentation, including detailed network diagrams, configurations, and operational runbooks.
Key Qualifications
·Strong expertise with Juniper SRX firewalls, including complex security policy development, chassis clustering (HA), and deep packet inspection.
·Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure, particularly Nexus 5k/7k/9k switches, Catalyst series, and ASR routers.
·Strong grasp of data center networking principles, including Layer 2/Layer 3 segmentation, redundancy, and scalable architecture.
·Proven track record in delivering data center migration and build projects, with experience in change control processes, rollback strategies, and cross-functional coordination.
·Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, VTP).
·Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnostics, utilizing CLI tools, system logs, and packet analysis tools (Wireshark, flow capture)
·Experience with network management platforms, including Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, and Junos Space.
·Strong communication and documentation abilities, capable of translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights.
·Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to manage priorities independently and thrive in a globally distributed team under time-sensitive conditions.
Good to Have
·Exposure to network automation using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs.
·Experience with virtualization technologies and fabric networks (vPC, VXLAN, VMware NSX).
