Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Music Audio Expert skilled in Mandarin Chinese to evaluate AI-generated music outputs, including lyrics and voice synthesis. The role requires working remotely on a contract basis, with a commitment of 10+ hours per week for up to six months.

You will score the quality of musical training data and provide actionable feedback to improve model performance in collaboration with AI researchers, engineers, and content creators.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in music production, audio engineering, or sound mixing.
• College degree in music covering performance, theory, and lyrics.
• Native or near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.

Position: Music Audio Expert - Mandarin Chinese

Type: Contract

Compensation: $39/hour

Location: Remote

Duration: Up to 6 months

Commitment: 10+ hours/week

• Must-Have
  • 3+ years experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer.
  • College degree in music, covering performance, theory, and lyrics.
  • Native or near-native proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Preferred
  • Evidence of understanding musical performance, theory, and lyrics.
  • Past experience writing lyrical music in the domain language.
