Job summary

An international educational institution in Singapore is seeking an Assistant Teacher (Music) to support the Music Department within the Junior School. The candidate will provide organizational support, help manage instruments, and assist students in learning. Ideal for someone with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ideally with experience in music education. Qualifications

  • Minimum of GCE ‘A’ Levels or equivalent qualifications.
  • Achievement in graded music examinations would be an advantage.
  • At least one year of relevant work experience in an administrative or educational setting.
  • Experience playing the piano, including accompanying students for performances and examinations.

Responsibilities

  • Support in a class as decided by the Head of Junior School Music.
  • Log all instruments into the school database.
  • Manage the issuing of instruments, books, and accessories to all students.
  • Support school performances by rehearsing groups of children.
  • Facilitate the learning of individual children or a small group of children.
