Job summary

Optimum Solutions (Singapore) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Murex STP developer to execute projects and enhancements, provide technical support, and automate interfaces between Murex and other systems in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 5+ years IT experience with hands-on Murex STP, MXML, XML/XST, SQL, UNIX shell scripting and Core Java, plus Agile experience and Treasury product knowledge.

You will collaborate with PMs, BAs and users, and engage with external vendors to deliver

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Murex STP trade interfaces/post-trade workflow.
• Hands-on with Murex MXML (MX 3.1), XML/XST, and Murex Data Dictionary.
• Knowledge of Murex pre-trade sequences and STP interfaces.
• Strong SQL skills, ideally with Sybase.
• Knowledge of UNIX commands and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Core Java (Java 1.6+).
• Advantage for Murex DataMart and market data components.
• Experience with Agile and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of Treasury products.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Execute projects and enhancements and provide technical support in STP trade interfaces, including pre-trade related enhancement.
• Analyze user requirements and design/development of Murex STP trade interfaces.
  Work will also include some development using UNIX shell scripts, SQL and Core Java to automate the interfaces between Murex and other application systems.
• The candidate is expected to work closely, and communicate effectively and independently with project managers, business analysts and business users, as well as external vendors.
• Experienced in building Confirmation templates, event notices, Swift Messages and related document generation from the STP.

Requirements

• 5+ years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years of relevant Murex STP trade interface/post-trade workflow development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Murex MxML (MX 3.1), XML/XST, and Murex Data Dictionary.
• Good knowledge of Murex pre-trade sequences and STP trade interfaces.
• Strong SQL skills, preferably with Sybase.
• Good knowledge of UNIX commands and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Core Java, preferably Java 1.6+.
• Knowledge of Murex DataMart and market data components (MDRS/MDCS/RTBS) is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile methodology and automated testing frameworks is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Treasury products.
