Job summary

Bounteous is seeking an experienced Murex Datamart Consultant to support reporting, data extraction, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and end-to-end data delivery within a Murex environment.

You will work with business users, Finance, Risk, Operations, IT, Murex SMEs, project teams, and vendors to support reporting, Datamart configuration, issue resolution, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Murex experience with hands-on Datamart delivery.
• Strong practical knowledge of dynamic tables, feeders and extractions.
• Experience enabling regulatory, finance and risk reporting and reconciliations.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Murex Datamart Consultant to support reporting, data extraction, regulatory reporting, reconciliation, and front-to-back data delivery within a Murex environment. The role requires a strong functional or techno-functional consultant with hands-on experience across Murex Datamart, dynamic tables, feeders, extraction batches, reporting configuration, SQL, data mapping, trade lifecycle data, and downstream integration.

The successful candidate will work closely with business users, Finance, Risk, Operations, IT, Murex SMEs, project teams, and vendor stakeholders to support reporting requirements, Datamart configuration, issue resolution, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support. The role is suited to someone with strong Murex experience who understands how Datamart consumes and transforms data across trades, events, positions, cash flows, accounting, risk, market data, and downstream reporting systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Murex experience, with strong hands-on exposure to Datamart, reporting, interfaces, Finance, Risk, Operations, or front-to-back Murex delivery.
• Strong functional and technical understanding of Murex Datamart, including dynamic tables, feeders, extractions, extraction batches, reporting templates, data mapping, and scheduled reporting processes.
• Experience configuring, enhancing, and supporting Datamart reports across areas such as regulatory reporting, Finance reporting, Risk reporting, Operations reporting, trade reporting, cash flow reporting, P&L, valuation, and reconciliations.
• Strong SQL capability, with experience analysing data, building queries, investigating reporting breaks, validating outputs, and supporting downstream data delivery.
• Good understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle across capital markets products such as FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Credit, Commodities, Equities, Derivatives, Money Markets, or Structured Products.
• Experience gathering reporting requirements from business users and translating them into Murex Datamart configuration, functional specifications, technical designs, test scenarios, and implementation plans.
• Strong knowledge of Murex workflows, events, impacts, static data, market data, trade lifecycle, accounting, risk outputs, batch processing, and downstream integration points.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, regression testing, report reconciliation, data validation, defect analysis, production incident resolution, go-live preparation, and post-go-live support.
• Ability to analyse complex Murex reporting issues across trade data, event data, cash flows, positions, accounting, market data, risk outputs, interfaces, and downstream systems.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across business, IT, Finance, Risk, Operations, vendor, and project delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Support delivery of Murex Datamart enhancements, implementation, migration, upgrade, integration, regulatory, or BAU change activity.
• Work with Finance, Risk, Operations, Front Office, Back Office, IT, and project stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and define functional and technical solutions.
• Configure and support Murex Datamart components including dynamic tables, feeders, extractions, extraction batches, report templates, data filters, and scheduled reporting processes.
• Analyse source data, trade lifecycle events, cash flows, positions, accounting entries, market data, risk outputs, and downstream data requirements to support accurate reporting.
• Build, enhance, and validate reports across regulatory reporting, Finance reporting, Risk reporting, Operations reporting, management reporting, reconciliations, P&L, valuations, and cash flows.
• Support setup and validation of static data, trade data, market data, accounting data, risk data, and reporting data required for Datamart outputs.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Finance, Back Office, Operations, IT, and downstream teams to ensure reporting outputs are aligned across the full trade lifecycle.
• Support integration between Murex Datamart and downstream reporting, data warehouse, regulatory, finance, reconciliation, and operational platforms.
• Prepare functional specifications, technical specifications, configuration documents, data mapping documents, process flows, test cases, issue logs, and user support documentation.
• Execute and support SIT, UAT, regression testing, report reconciliation, data validation, defect triage, test evidence review, business sign-off, and production readiness activities.
• Investigate and resolve Murex Datamart production issues, including report breaks, missing data, incorrect mappings, extraction failures, batch issues, reconciliation breaks, and downstream feed failures.
• Support release readiness, cutover planning, go-live preparation, implementation execution, and post-go-live stabilisation.
• Provide clear status updates, risk escalation, issue tracking, and delivery updates to project managers and senior stakeholders.
• Work with Murex vendor teams, internal SMEs, and system integrators to manage defects, clarify expected behaviour, validate solutions, and ensure delivery quality.
• Ensure Datamart delivery remains aligned with business objectives, reporting controls, regulatory expectations, data quality standards, and project governance.
