We are seeking a highly motivated Murex Back Office (Accounting) to work in a client-servicing role to drive one of our client’s Murex projects in Singapore. In this project there will be new product initiatives, Murex version upgrade and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Advising on Murex best practices in the P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting and financial reporting.
- Work on accounting for trade and position configuration.
- Accounting configuration : Rules, Filters etc.
- Provide liquidation module support.
- Translate these requirements into appropriate solutions.
- Hands‑on business analysis role to analyse and propose solutions for business issues, process changes and functional requirements.
- Capture, specify and document business requirements for implementation for the Back Office and Accounting stream.
- Work with different IT teams across infrastructure, and other divisions to deliver system solutions for the business.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on their priorities, needs as well as system improvements.
- Build a strong relationship and manage expectations with users and stake holders.
- Coordinate and validate Back Office and Accounting stream testing and test cases during UATs.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree, preferably from Finance, Business or Accounting
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Murex Accounting / Finance experience in the capital markets industry with relevant experience in business analysis and project implementation.
- Knowledge of accounting standards for treasury products.
- Experience on accounting and liquidation module in configuration or support in Murex3.1
- Exposure to complete trade life cycle.
- Must be able to convey plans, issues and concerns to clients and team members in clear, logical and concise manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Back office & Accounting concepts of below treasury products
- FX Derivatives, IR Derivatives, EQ Derivatives
- FX Cash, Fixed Income and Money market
- Commodities
- Effective team player with excellent communication & inter-personal skills.
- Strong problem solver who can question and understand proposed solutions and business drivers.
- Proven stakeholder management skills in interactions with stakeholders across functions and seniority levels.
