Job summary

Childhood Builder After School (CBAS) is seeking experienced freelance tutors to conduct small-group tuition lessons for primary school students across English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese.

Candidates who can teach more than one subject will be given preference; plan engaging, structured lessons, assess progress and align with MOE syllabus.

Sessions are 1.5 hours each, on a flexible per-session basis, typically between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with remuneration of 40–60 SGD per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in at least one listed subject.
• Ability to teach multiple subjects is highly preferred.
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience with a track record in small-group tuition.
• Familiarity with MOE primary school syllabus and examination requirements.
• Ability to manage small groups and engage learners of varying abilities.
• Patient, responsible and passionate about helping students succeed.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Available to commit consistently to tutoring schedules.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct engaging, structured small-group lessons for primary students.
• Provide academic support, including revision and exam preparation.
• Deliver lessons aligned with the MOE primary syllabus.
• Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Assess understanding, identify areas for improvement and track progress.
• Provide constructive feedback to support learning and development.
• Maintain a positive, supportive learning environment.
