Job summary

ENGGSOL PTE. LTD. seeks a Cloud Linux Engineer (Level 2) to operate and secure Linux workloads across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). The role emphasizes OS patching, security hardening, and ITSM practices in an on-premises plus cloud setting.

You will perform deployment, troubleshooting, and automation tasks, manage services, firewall, and IAM configurations, and collaborate with security and DevOps teams to ensure reliability and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Linux/Unix experience
• Minimum 1 year cloud experience, AWS preferred
• Exposure to Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with OS patching, security hardening, and ITIL-aligned processes
• Hands-on deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Linux workloads in multi-cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 operational support for Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux) in on-premises and multi-cloud environments
• Support cloud operations predominantly on AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Manage Linux services, systemd, networking, firewall rules, and SELinux/AppArmor
• Monitor workload performance, availability, and security baselines across clouds
• Perform OS patching, patch cycle coordination, and post-patch verification
• Deploy and troubleshoot applications on Linux, including web/app servers
• Implement ITIL processes for incidents, changes, and requests and maintain SLAs
• Execute security remediations, IAM configurations, vulnerability management, and compliance activities
• Support container strategies with Docker/Kubernetes and DevSecOps practices
• Develop Bash/Python scripts and use cloud CLIs (AWS/Azure/gcloud) for automation
• Maintain backups, DR plans, and runbooks
• Create and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
