Job summary

Resonac HD Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a qualified candidate for a surface analysis role in its R&D lab. You will perform validation, characterization and reporting using advanced surface analysis techniques, contributing to design verification and reliability.

You will collaborate with engineers and project teams, maintain lab equipment, ensure quality and ISO compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives within R&D. Fresh graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or related discipline.

• Experience in materials analysis, failure analysis, surface characterisation or semiconductor/HDD-related industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Validate and characterize media and related components using surface analysis techniques.
• Develop surface analysis methodologies to verify design compliance and reliability margins.
• Analyze evaluation and failure results and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with process owners, engineers, and project teams to identify improvements.
• Support and coordinate laboratory activities to complete analysis requests on time.
• Maintain surface analysis laboratory equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Liaise with external laboratories for specialized analytical services.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and ISO requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within R&D.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Conduct validation, evaluation and characterisation of media, media processes and related components using surface analysis techniques.

• Develop and enhance surface analysis methodologies to verify design compliance and reliability margins.

• Analyse evaluation and failure analysis results and prepare technical reports.

• Collaborate with process owners, engineers and project teams to identify improvement opportunities.

• Support and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure timely completion of analysis requests.

• Manage and maintain surface analysis laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance and vendor coordination.

• Liaise with external laboratories for specialised analytical services when required.

• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and ISO requirements.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D function.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
