Job summary

GSK Singapore offers the MSAT Materials Science Internship for 2027, involving deep material characterization and comparability assessments of APIs and excipients used in formulation and manufacture of medicinal products.

Interns will learn techniques like particle sizing, XRPD, rheology, moisture sorption and thermal analysis, and will present results while developing GLP/GDP practices. The program runs January to June 2027 with guidance from a diverse, global team.

Qualifications

• Technical competency in pharmaceutical, biological sciences or chemistry.
• Laboratory environment experience and analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Curious, adaptive and able to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deep material characterization and comparability assessments of APIs and excipients used in formulation and manufacture of medicinal products.
• Perform comparability studies to assess impact of lifecycle changes on material properties and manufacturability.
• Utilize material characterization techniques such as particle sizing, XRPD, rheology, moisture sorption and thermal analysis.
