Job summary

A semiconductor manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a talented technician focused on improving tool performance and maintenance in the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) module. The role involves troubleshooting, conducting maintenance reporting, and operating advanced semiconductor tools in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates hold a diploma in engineering and have experience in a 300mm fab environment. This position requires working under rotating shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct alarm troubleshooting and identify root cause of equipment issues.
  • Execute tool handovers and maintenance reporting.
  • Use PVD tools for metal layer deposition.
  • Manage spare part inventory and coordinate with vendors.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor tools.
  • Operate under rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment.

Role Summary

You will be responsible and focused on improving tool performance and availability, in charge of maintenance, diagnosing failures and implementing effective solutions to meet uptime and cycle time requirements in the Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) module.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle on‑duty tasks and conduct fundamental alarm troubleshooting; identify root cause and problem‑solve critical equipment issues with urgency.
  • Execute tool handovers and maintenance reporting per cleanroom standards.
  • Use PVD tools (e.g., sputtering systems) for metal layer deposition, collaborate with engineering teams to improve tool performance and availability.
  • Manage spare part inventory and coordinate with vendors or contractors for parts replacement and technical support.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on advanced 300mm semiconductor tools for PVD process.
  • Operate under rotating shifts (day/night), including weekends and holidays, in a 24/7 fab environment.
Education Qualification & Essential Experiences
  • Diploma’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or STEM related fields
  • Experience in a 12’’ (300mm) fab environment is highly preferred.
