Job summary

Google Singapore is hiring software engineers to scale Google Pay India to 400M users and beyond by building a high performing client foundation using Flutter. You will own core architecture, release systems, and the developer ecosystem powering the Flutter application.

You will work across the full stack with Dart, Flutter, Android, iOS, Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, plus build and automation tooling, joining a team focused on performance, security, and scale.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Experience with mobile development (Android, iOS or Flutter).

In this role, you will help to scale Google Pay India to 400M users and beyond by building a high performing, secure, and robust client foundation. You will take end-to-end ownership of the core architecture, release systems, and developer ecosystem that power our entire Flutter application. Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Design core application architectures, optimize critical app health metrics (such as Application-Not-Responding, startup latency, app size, memory usage, and frame rates), and build secure platform integration layers.
• Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and boost overall developer velocity.
• Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, User Experience (UX), and other teams (like Photos and Gmail intelligence teams) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Work with technologies such as Dart, Flutter, Android, iOS, Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, and build/automation tools.
