Our esteemed client in the IT industry is seeking a Mobile Application Developer (iOS) to join their dynamic team:
- Employment Type: 1-year renewable contract
- Position: Mobile Application Developer (iOS)
- Location: Novena
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm
- Salary Package: Up to $7,900 + Medical Benefits
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain iOS applications focused on location-based features using Swift and Objective-C.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver user‑centric, high‑quality features.
- Migrate and refactor existing Objective‑C codebases into Swift, ensuring stability and performance.
- Integrate apps with RESTful APIs and geospatial data services.
- Build and optimize map‑driven experiences using Mapbox Mobile SDK and Apple Core Location framework.
- Conduct unit and UI testing, debug issues, and optimize app performance for real‑world scenarios.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
- Stay up‑to‑date with emerging location technologies, mapping SDKs, and geospatial frameworks.
- Ensure accurate, responsive, and performant interactions with maps and location services.
Job Requirements
- At least a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Prior iOS development experience with published apps on the App Store.
- Strong skills in Swift and Objective‑C, with hands‑on experience using Mapbox Mobile SDK.
- Solid understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Core Animation, Core Location, and other iOS frameworks.
- Experience with geospatial data handling, map integration, and designing custom map layers or visualisations.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, networking, architectural patterns (MVC, MVVM, VIPER), Xcode, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks, unit/UI testing, App Store deployment, and Apple HIG.
- Optional: experience with SwiftUI/Combine, MapKit/Core ML, push notifications/location alerts, and Agile/Scrum environments.
