Job summary

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCHERS PTE. LTD is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain scalable applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, and microservices. You will implement REST services, work with Kafka, MQs, and relational databases, and ensure code quality through tests.

You should be comfortable with Linux/Unix, CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git platforms, and agile practices. Strong communication is essential as you collaborate across teams in a fast-growing environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate, JPA, REST, JSON.
• Familiar with Microservice architecture and REST web service development using Spring Boot.
• Experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ and relational databases like Oracle / MS SQL.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and basic commands.
• Proficiency with Jenkins, Git/Stash, Bitbucket, JIRA, Maven, SonarQube.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and tools (Jira, GitLab, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with Software Unit Testing (JUnit).
• Good verbal and communication skills.
