Job summary

5G-Starlink Pte. is seeking a Project Development Engineer in Singapore to design optimized conceptual solutions for hybrid power projects and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure alignment with customer needs and internal criteria.

You will perform energy yield calculations, cost estimates, and financial assessments, while identifying risks and opportunities. Collaboration across engineering, procurement, legal, finance, and commercial teams will be essential to drive successful feasibility

Qualifications

• Experience with Homer Pro, Homer Grid, Helioscope, Thermoflow or similar design tools.
• Knowledge of hybrid clean power solutions: power generation, microgrid, CHP and integration of Renewables, BESS, Electrolyzer, Fuel Cell.
• Strong grasp of energy economics, LCoE, IRR, payback, and project finance basics.
• Ability to interact with Electric, I&C, Mech, Process engineers and other disciplines.
• Experience in bankable feasibility studies and back-to-back assessments across technical, commercial, financial, and risk metrics.
• Familiarity with EPC and O&M contracts, Power Purchase Agreements and Energy as a Service concepts.
• Understanding of value chain and end-to-end project development, from origination to financial closure.

Responsibilities

• Compare configurations and design preliminary optimized conceptual solutions meeting customer needs and internal criteria.
• Identify and pre-select external partners/suppliers to improve proposed solutions and execution.
• Perform energy yield calculations and evaluate performance, savings, revenues and financial metrics across business models.
• Prepare initial CapEx/OpEx estimates for early financial evaluation.
• Identify and mitigate initial project constraints, risks and opportunities for feasibility.
• Share knowledge of optimized solutions with engineering, service, procurement, legal, finance and commercial teams to enable correct delivery.
• Support development proposals and continually evaluate feasibility, inputs, gaps, and risks throughout the process.
• Participate in client, supplier and investment committee meetings during development phases.
