Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Microbiology professionalto support laboratory activities related to the cultivation, monitoring, anddevelopment of bacterial cultures. The role involves hands-on microbiologicalwork, data collection, and continuous improvement of culturing methods fromlaboratory scale up to pilot line level. In addition, the candidate will supportany relevant ad hoc laboratory projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivateand maintain microorganisms/bacterial cultures using establishedtechniques and standard laboratory protocols.
- Monitorbacterial growth through routine observations, measurements, anddocumentation (e.g., optical density, colony counts, morphology or viasensor derived techniques such as pH).
- Develop,optimize, and validate bacterial culturing methods, media formulations,and growth conditions to support research or production goals.
- Record,analyze, and report experimental data accurately in laboratory notebooksor electronic systems.
- Ensurecompliance with laboratory safety, biosafety, and quality standards (e.g.,SOPs, GLP, GMP where applicable).
- Maintainlaboratory equipment, prepare media and reagents, and manage cultureinventories.
- Supportcross-functional or ad hoc projects as assigned, including troubleshootingexperiments, method transfers, or process improvements.
- Collaboratewith team members to meet project timelines and scientific objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’sdegree (or equivalent) in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or arelated scientific field; 1-2 years’ experience preferred. Fresh graduateare also welcome to apply.
- Hands-onexperience with microbial/bacterial culturing techniques.
- Familiaritywith aseptic techniques, basic microbiological assays, and laboratorydocumentation practices.
- Strongattention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
- Goodorganizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Abilityto manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing project priorities.
- Willingnessto learn and achieve progress towards the assigned goals.
