A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking an experienced Engineer to develop and support optical metrology solutions. The role involves developing optics alignment solutions, preparing product specifications, and working with the technology team for improvements. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Microelectronics, or Physics, with strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Programming skills in MATLAB or Python are a plus. This fast-paced position is located at Science Park II, soon to move to Tampines.
This is a hands‑on role for an experienced Engineer to develop and support optical metrology solutions. Following are the key functional requirements of this role:
Develop optics alignment solutions for the metrology module.
Prepare detailed product specifications and field documentation to support installs, preventive/ corrective maintenance.
Work with Technology team on product improvement, application implementation and lab build.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve technical problems, set up experiments, and perform data analysis.
Partner with Quality & Reliability (Q&R) group to review and address Top Field Issues. Participate in or own CAPA process. Conduct or facilitate Failure Analysis (FA) ifneeded.
Developnewprocedures,CustomerEngineeringNotices(CENs),InternalServiceBulletins (ISBs) and troubleshooting guides asrequired.
Develop initial training package for new products and work with Global Technical Training (GTT) to develop training class. Train Customer Engineers (CEs), Process Engineers (PSEs)andTechnicalProductSupport(TPS)assignedtocustomerswhowillreceiveELS Shipments, prior toshipping.
IdentifynewpartsthatrequiretobestockedbyAGSandworkwiththemtoensurepartsare stocked in correctlocations.
Bachelor's / Master’s Degree in Mechatronics, Microelectronics, Physics (specialized in Optics) or related fields.
Experience in Hardware Development, data analysis / processing, statistical analysis, or optical assembly. Programming and scripting skills in MATLAB or Python are a plus.
Hands‑on experience with test equipment, data acquisition systems, and failure analysis.
Strong understanding of hardware design principles and reliability testing methodologies.
Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
