Job summary

SPM REFINERY PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an entry-level technician to perform metallurgical recovery processes and support plant start-up and shutdown activities in a manual and chemical environment.

The role offers hands-on work and exposure to safety-critical procedures. You will assist the supervisor, handle incoming materials administratively, and follow established safety procedures while contributing to quality and process troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology or a related discipline.
• Entry level candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
• Effective team player with good communication skills and high self-motivation.
• Able to withstand work pressure and to perform overtime when required to complete job given dateline.
• Able to drive forklift will be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform metallurgical recovery processes.
• Able to work in manual and chemical work environment.
• Support Supervisor in handling plant start-up, shutdown process according to established procedures. Troubleshooting of quality and process problems.
• Admin work in receiving incoming materials
• Safely and efficiently operates their assigned processes and procedure
• To follow the safe working procedures of the Company
• Participates and responds to the company emergency response in areas of firefighting, rescue and loss containment
• Fulfil any other duties as and when assigned by the immediate superior
