Job description

Develop, test, and deploy in-house systems to support business operations and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system design aligned with shopfloor and business processes.
• Continuously improve system performance, quality, and responsiveness, especially for manufacturing systems (MES, shopfloor control, warehouse, supply chain).
• Adhere to coding standards, enhance code quality, and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with solution and SA teams to implement new features, conduct unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
• Assess project feasibility, provide accurate time estimates, and update IT project teams on progress.
• Maintain IT repositories, manage source code check-ins, and ensure SDLC compliance.
• Provide backup support for systems and extract production-related data when needed.

Required skills and experience

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 2–3+ years of experience in system development with Java and database scripting (PL/SQL preferred), ideally in MES systems.
• Up to 5 years of experience designing or developing mid-to-large manufacturing applications or participating in MES setup/migration projects.
• Passion for software development and ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible to work overtime during urgent situations (e.g., line-down incidents at night or weekends).
