The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Merchandising Manager specialising in Cosmetics to join a prestigious multinational corporation based in the Orchard Central Region. This is a full-time position offering a strategic opportunity to lead merchandising initiatives for a cosmetics portfolio within a dynamic retail environment.

As Merchandising Manager, you will oversee the visual presentation, stock management, and promotional execution of cosmetics products across retail locations. This role is pivotal in driving sales performance, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring brand alignment. You will work collaboratively with retail teams, marketing departments, and senior management to maximise product visibility and revenue generation. Your strategic leadership will directly impact the commercial success of the cosmetics category.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies for the cosmetics category to achieve sales targets and market penetration objectives

• Design and execute visual merchandising plans, including point-of-sale displays, window presentations, and in-store layouts to maximise product appeal and accessibility

• Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and replenishment procedures to ensure optimal product availability and minimise wastage

• Monitor and analyse sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for improvement and strategic adjustment

• Coordinate promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives, ensuring consistent brand messaging and timely execution across all retail touchpoints

• Conduct regular store audits and inspections to verify compliance with merchandising standards, visual guidelines, and brand positioning

• Collaborate with the marketing team to align merchandising activities with broader promotional campaigns and brand initiatives

• Train and mentor merchandising and retail staff on product knowledge, display techniques, and customer engagement strategies

• Liaise with suppliers and distribution partners to manage product launches, restocking schedules, and logistics

• Prepare detailed reports on merchandising performance, sales metrics, and ROI analysis for senior management review

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Retail Management, Marketing, or related field

• 5+ years of proven experience in merchandising management, preferably within the cosmetics or beauty retail sector

• Demonstrated track record of managing product categories and driving sales growth through effective merchandising strategies

• Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising and consumer behaviour in the cosmetics industry

• Excellent knowledge of inventory management systems and retail point-of-sale software

• Proven ability to analyse sales data and market trends to make informed merchandising decisions

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

• Leadership capability to inspire, train, and motivate staff

• Experience working within multinational corporations and understanding of global brand standards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and retail analytics tools

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, retail environment with flexibility to manage store visits and on-site responsibilities
