Job summary

A recruiting firm in Singapore is looking for a Merchandising Associate to assist in meeting business objectives through effective inventory and supplier management. The role requires a degree in a relevant field and strong analytical skills. Previous experience in merchandising is advantageous but not mandatory. Training will be provided. Merchandising Associate [up to $3,000 | East | Urgent]

Responsibilities:

Responsible to assist the Merchandising Manager to ensure business objectives and merchandising support administrative functions. You are responsible to support the Merchandising team to ensure the right product, in the right place, time, quantity and price.

  • Vendor & Supplier Management – Build and maintain strong relationships, communicate regularly, schedule meetings, support negotiations, and manage supplier information, terms, and conditions.
  • Sales & Market Analysis – Generate and analyze sales reports, consumer trends, store performance, pricing, and profit margins to support decision‑making.
  • Inventory & Stock Control – Monitor inventory levels, track ordering status, review aging/slow‑moving items and process damage‑goods claims.
  • Pricing, Planogram & Promotions Support – Update retail pricing, ensure accuracy, manage planograms, update promotion lists, and coordinate changes with Operations/VM.
  • Administrative & Reporting Tasks – Prepare purchase orders, presentations, management reports and perform additional assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing / Business Administration / Retail Management or any other relevant.
  • Non‑working experience welcome to apply.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret sales data using MS Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience in merchandising or retail buying will be advantage but not mandatory as training will be provided.
