Responsibilities
- Performs routine test procedures, automated or manual, in the laboratory with little direct supervision.
 
- Assists in training of new personnel.
 
- Maintains a clean and well organized work area.
 
- Maintains proper inventory level of all supplies and reports any deficiency to the appropriate section manager or the designate.
 
- Reviews all daily QC results and discusses any problems with the appropriate section manager or the designate.
 
- Checks the performance of all instruments in the Laboratory and reports any which is not functioning properly.
 
- Supports flexible staffing requirements in the department and participates in shift duties.
 
- Complies with all regulatory guidelines, participating in CAP proficiency testing, National proficiency testing and inter Hospital QA programs.
 
- Participates in a routine maintenance program for instruments and in on‑going CME and professional development programs.
 
- Develops rapport with all the Laboratory Staffs as well as with other Hospital departments.
 
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time by management.
 
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised diploma or certificate in medical laboratory technology, or recognised Bachelor of Science degree or polytechnic Diploma or equivalent.
 
- Preferably, at least 1 year experience in related medical laboratory.
