Role Summary and Impact

We are currently looking for a Media Solutions Engagement Executive to join our team. This role is a hybrid position that balances hands-on programmatic execution with client-facing engagement and solution advocacy. You will work closely with all other teams within the WPP Media family to drive programmatic planning, execution, analysis, and insights, while also playing a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with WPP agencies and clients. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and flexibility in embracing changes and new challenges.

Skills and Experience
Responsibilities of the role:
Programmatic Execution & Optimization:
  • Handle various platforms such as Display & Video 360 (ex-DBM), Campaign Manager (Ex-DCM), The Trade Desk, AppNexus, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Programmatic Buying, including DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad-exchanges, DMPs, and audience targeting.
  • Oversee the end-to-end campaign lifecycle from planning to activation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Review campaign briefs and generate effective programmatic media plans to deliver client objectives.
  • Monitor campaign success through Google Analytics, DSP UIs, and automation dashboards, proactively identifying optimisation opportunities (e.g., audience, supply source, temporal, frequency, geo, creative copy).
  • Accountable for ongoing management of campaign budgets, daily spend levels, and constant monitoring of tracking against performance goals.
  • Analyze ongoing results to identify campaign trends and key insights, providing thoughtful recommendations to meet and exceed client goals.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the programmatic/performance campaign ecosystem, including Brand Safety, Viewability, and Ad Fraud.
  • Execute various types of programmatic deal types.
Client & Agency Engagement:
  • Develop deep relationships with WPP agencies and clients, acting as a trusted advisor and the primary point of contact for media solutions.
  • Be an expert on WPP Media’s digital solutions, effectively evangelizing their benefits and capabilities to agency peers.
  • Translate agency/client needs into actionable media plans and programmatic strategies.
  • Work with client and market teams, operating seamlessly together to deliver success across briefing, booking, setup, optimisation, and reporting processes.
  • Provide regular campaign reports to client teams, along with strategic insights to influence planning & buying decisions.
  • Supervise or support sales administration processes to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and ad operations teams to ensure effective ad development and campaign setup.
Workflow & Collaboration:
  • Manage your workflow and responses to ensure agreed deadlines are met, service level agreements are upheld, and tasks are executed with 100% accuracy.
  • Work closely with your line manager and other internal teams to manage day-to-day campaign responsibilities and client interactions.
  • Participate in regular work-in-progress (WIP) meetings to share campaign performance and insights.
Measures of success –
In three months:
  • Develop a strong understanding of WPP Media's clients, brands, products, and overall programmatic landscape.
  • Gain familiarity with the various platforms and systems that power digital media.
  • Achieve relevant certifications on major programmatic platforms.
  • Begin to develop relationships and earn trust with your immediate team, client teams, and local market operation teams.
In six months:
  • Become a trusted advisor and partner to your client and market teams.
  • Demonstrate success in managing your assigned accounts and campaigns.
  • Proactively provide optimisation suggestions and collaborate with programmatic directors to improve campaign performance.
  • Oversee effective and accurate optimisations and delivery of campaigns.
In 12 months:
  • Further develop your knowledge of other online products and strategies, contributing to broader digital media discussions.
  • Identify gaps, processes, or tools to improve campaign performance and efficiency, taking initiative to propose solutions.
  • Become a strategic partner to your client teams, contributing to future strategic planning discussions for your assigned agencies and accounts.
Minimum qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in digital media, preferably within a media agency, trading desk, or ad network account management.
  • Hands‑on experience and knowledge in programmatic optimisation.
  • Proven experience in campaign implementation, optimisation, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Ad Servers, DSPs/SSPs, RTB, ad exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting, Brand Safety, Viewability, and Ad Fraud.
  • Competent in all Microsoft Office software (Excel and PowerPoint expertise is essential).
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent with numbers and a strong eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, financial, and numerical astuteness.
  • Highly organized, proactive, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Experience with ad serving technology is a plus.
  • Strategic thinker who can translate insights into actionable plans.
