About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Mechanical Technical Officer specializing in Fire Protection Systems to join our team at Changi Airport. This role is critical in ensuring the safety and reliability of fire protection systems within a world-class aviation environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and Supervise: Manage a team of supervisors and technicians responsible for mechanical and fire protection systems.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan, schedule, and execute monthly Preventive, Breakdown, and Corrective Maintenance activities in compliance with contractual and safety standards.
  • System Expertise: Oversee maintenance and troubleshooting of fire protection systems, including Fire Sprinklers, Dry Risers, and Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Procurement & Coordination: Handle procurement of services and materials, and liaise with external contractors when required.
  • Client Engagement: Attend client meetings and internal briefings, providing updates on work progress, technical issues, and improvement initiatives.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance records, service reports, and inspection checklists in line with ENGIE and client quality policies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds contractual KPIs.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Support additional projects, assignments, and repair work as assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in facilities management (experience in hospitality or airport environments is an advantage).
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Fire Alarm and Fire Protection Systems maintenance.
  • Special Note: Familiarity with Fireworks / EST3 systems is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, positive mindset, and strong willingness to learn; ability to multi-task and maintain good documentation practices.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong safety mindset and adherence to WSH standards.
