Job summary
A repair and maintenance company in Singapore is seeking an individual to provide disassembly and repair services. Responsibilities include evaluating components, troubleshooting failures, and collaborating with various teams for efficient operations. The ideal candidate will assist in continuous improvement efforts and maintain communication with customers regarding technical support and parts availability.
Responsibilities
- Provide detailed disassembly pictures for documentation as per customer requests.
- Conduct disassembly to support cost estimation and review parts lists and standard parts replacements.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Assemble parts using both re-used and new components.
- Perform flat rate, time & material repairs, basic disassembly, and evaluation of components to restore products to usable condition.
- Evaluate and troubleshoot to determine the root cause of failure, comparing findings against standards and escalating when necessary.
- Assist in setting up necessary repairs and tests.
- Communicate evaluation findings directly with testers, including written documentation and/or product pictures.
- Provide basic technical information to support communication with customers on the usability of obsolete products transitioning to replacement products.
- Review inventory balances for repair parts and request additional stock from the repair coordinator when needed.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries by gathering material and labor data from the internal management system.
- Participate in assessments to recommend engineering repair or remanufacturing decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering to make strategic decisions regarding the scope of repairs.
