Job Description
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Provide timely responses to service requests and operational inquiries.
- Attend to urgent and emergency situations when required (24/7 support preparedness).
- Prepare and present monthly operational performance reports.
- Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of critical mechanical systems to ensure continuous uptime and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, and environmental management standards on site.
- Collaborate with the Facilities team to plan and execute annual and periodic preventive maintenance programs.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility, equipment, and site conditions to identify risks or faults.
- Troubleshoot system issues and propose solutions or upgrades to improve efficiency and resilience.
- Manage procurement of parts, materials, and services required for maintenance works.
- Coordinate and supervise external vendors and contractors, ensuring work is delivered to required specifications and standards.
- Review equipment lifecycle status and recommend replacement or upgrade actions for End-of-Life (EOL) components.
- Develop, review, and maintain all operating documentation (SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and APs), ensuring alignment to current operational standards.
The Successful Applicant
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in Data Center projects/ Facility operation work, with supervisory exposure.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and control systems such as: Chilled water plant systems, AHUs, BMS, fuel systems, VFDs, fire detection/suppression systems (e.g., pre-action sprinklers).
- Hands-on experience with complex control logic, relay systems, PLCs, and building automation platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing large-scale cooling infrastructure including chillers, storage/distribution pipework, cooling towers, and chemical treatment systems.
