Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to lead maintenance activities at the Tuas Refinery. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in rotating and static equipment maintenance. Qualifications

  • Ensure all mechanical aspects of Safety, Environmental, Quality and Cost are being met.
  • Accountable for execution of all maintenance work in accordance with local Authorities’ requirements.
  • Jointly discuss new job priorities with Operation and Planners.
  • Perform frontline troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with technical assurance and maintenance procedures.

We are looking for you as a Mechanical Field Engineer to join our Maintenance team at the Tuas Refinery, Singapore. You will focus on providing direction and supervision of mechanical work and ad‑hoc contractors, working closely with the Maintenance Lead to achieve maintenance excellence and reliability improvements.

More about the job – Your role in our team
  • Ensure all mechanical aspects of Safety, Environmental, Quality and Cost are being met.
  • Accountable for execution of all maintenance work in accordance with local Authorities’ requirements, industry and Neste rules and regulations.
  • Ensure Neste and Contract Resources are available for scheduled jobs and special services. Manage, coach and facilitate a team to execute maintenance activities and distribute jobs daily.
  • Jointly discuss new job priorities with Operation and Planners.
  • Perform frontline troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Adept in rotating equipment and vessel maintenance.
  • Attend daily operational and coordination meetings.
  • Coordinate cross‑discipline activities to complete the principal maintenance task.
  • Participate actively in Neste HSSEQ programmes to achieve targets for own contractors and functional teams.
  • Resource and deliver assigned Turnaround and Project maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance to MOC, PHA, PSSR processes.
  • Apply Neste recommended practices for best‑in‑class results.
  • Ensure compliance with technical assurance and maintenance procedures.
  • Set a safety culture to continuously care about the safety of anyone on site.
Keys to success – The best combination to succeed
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in refinery and petrochemical, with 3 years in the same position for rotating and static equipment.
  • Prior experience in projects and turnaround execution.
  • Knowledge of international standards and petroleum/petrochemical plant equipment.
  • Experience in maintenance work control, planning, and reliability methodologies.
