Job summary

KLA in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the Mechanical Engineering team and assist in developing and testing next-generation metrology tools. You'll define requirements, create specifications, run test plans, analyze performance, and document results.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with CAD modeling tools such as Creo or SolidWorks (coursework or projects count).
• Exposure to precision engineering, robotics or electromechanical systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Group/Division The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics.

The Surfscan® division develops unpatterned wafer inspection systems that detect nanoscale particles and surface defects early in semiconductor manufacturing. Its systems monitor wafer quality across a wide range of applications, enabling faster issue identification and improved process control.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you’ll join our Mechanical Engineering team and work alongside experienced engineers to support the development and testing of next-generation metrology tool.
