Job summary

A leading company in the tunnelling industry seeks a Mechanical Engineer to maintain crucial mechanical systems like TBMs and ventilation units. The position requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience. The candidate will ensure compliance with safety regulations and play a key role in supporting excavation operations.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with TBMs, slurry separation, and ventilation systems in tunnelling or underground construction.
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems.

Job description

• Maintain and troubleshoot TBMs, pumps, compressors, and slurry systems used in tunnel construction.
• Oversee installation and upkeep of tunnel ventilation and environmental monitoring systems.
• Support TBM excavation operations and ensure face pressure stability.
• Coordinate with site teams on mechanical interfaces and document maintenance activities.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with MOM, LTA, and internal safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience with TBMs, slurry separation, and ventilation systems in tunnelling or underground construction.
• Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, and instrumentation.
