Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a service-oriented individual to manage customer relationships and provide technical support for scientific equipment. Responsibilities include installation, calibration, and training, requiring at least a diploma in relevant engineering fields and ideally 1-2 years of experience in similar roles. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service & Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing responsive, reliable, and high-quality service support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for service-related inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction and prompt issue resolution.
2. Field Service & Technical Support
  • Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of scientific and analytical equipment—including Spectroscopy, Particle Size Analyzers, ICP systems, and XRF instruments—at customer sites.
  • Address technical concerns directly with end-users, ensuring minimal equipment downtime and optimal system performance.
3. Training & Knowledge Transfer
  • Conduct hands-on training sessions for end-users and distributors, ensuring proper equipment operation, maintenance, and safety compliance.
4. Sales & Business Support
  • Collaborate closely with the internal sales team and regional technical support teams to understand customer requirements and align service delivery.
  • Identify and report potential opportunities for preventive maintenance contracts during site visits.
  • Prepare and issue quotations for service jobs and spare parts based on customer inquiries.

Job requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in (Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical/Chemical Engineering) or equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably 1–2 years of hands-on experience in servicing scientific or analytical instrumentation.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Capable of working independently with good planning, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-driven, responsible, and adaptable to new challenges.
