Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive test plans for diesel power generators, ensuring they meet design and performance specifications.
- Conduct and oversee product testing, including performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Identify, document, and report defects or issues discovered during the testing process.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to generator design and performance.
- Provide technical support and expertise to cross‑functional teams in resolving product defects and improving product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of all test results, defect logs, and corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed test reports, highlighting any issues, solutions, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of new diesel power generator models, providing input on design improvements and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all products are tested in accordance with quality standards before they are released for manufacturing or customer deployment.
- Establish and standardize processes for the entire lifecycle of product projects—from project initiation, design, and development to delivery and post‑delivery support.
- Develop and implement systems and frameworks to ensure these processes are followed throughout the product lifecycle.
- Ensure continuous improvement by optimizing process efficiency and streamlining workflows for smoother project execution.
- Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of best practices in product testing, quality control, and product development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to bring innovative solutions to the testing and development processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in testing, quality control, or applications engineering, preferably in diesel power generators or similar power generation systems.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation, performance metrics, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in creating test plans, executing tests, and identifying technical issues.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams to find solutions.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to power generation systems.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in process development and implementation, particularly in product lifecycle management.
- Experience with product lifecycle management tools and test automation software.
- Certification or specialized training in diesel engine technology or power generation systems.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, power electronics, and generator control systems.
