AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing mechanical design engineering team across the Asia‑Pacific region
  • Drive the team’s global design consistency and standardization of mechanical systems across multiple geographical regions
  • Manage and approve mechanical equipment innovations and design submissions
  • Establish robust processes for internal design development and third‑party vendor management
  • Oversee procurement and technical specifications for mechanical Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) equipment
  • Manage team reporting, hiring, growth opportunities, annual goal reporting, KPIs and performance reviews

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive experience in mission‑critical design
  • Proven track record in project management
  • Experience managing a team of mechanical engineers
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering license
  • Comprehensive understanding of data center design and critical equipment
  • Expertise in building codes and regulations across the Asia‑Pacific region
  • Experience with fast‑track design and complex upgrade projects
  • Strong ability to develop and communicate complex technical business cases
