Job summary

CHONG FONG ENGINEERING PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to interpret mechanical drawings, prepare BOMs for fabrication, and support precision manufacturing. Strong knowledge of milling, turning, wire-cut operations is preferred; AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience is expected.

You will liaise with the Operations team on technical challenges, production requirements and process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality on site at Tuas Avenue 10.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of milling, turning, and wire-cut operations is an advantage.
• Familiar with metal fabrication incl. welding, sheet metal, and surface treatment.
• Proficient in mechanical design software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, GstarCAD, or Mastercam.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; able to work independently.
• Entry-level candidates may apply for Junior Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical drawings and project requirements.
• Prepare BOMs for fabrication works and select OEM components.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and production process issues.
• Liaise with Operations on technical challenges, production requirements and processes.
• Provide alternative solutions to resolve process-related problems.
• Coordinate with customers on technical matters and engineering support.
• Ensure fabrication works comply with project specs, quality requirements and standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity and quality.
