Job description

Mechanical Engineer (ACMV & Chiller Systems)

Salary: Up to SGD 4,000, with Variable Bonus

Industry: Commercial Buildings (Office Tower & Retail)

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of ACMV systems, including air‑handling units, VRV/VRF systems, ducting, and ventilation equipment.

• Support day‑to‑day operations and engineering activities for chiller plant systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.

• Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot system issues, and provide corrective actions to minimize downtime.

• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to engineering specifications.

• Review technical drawings, method statements, and shop drawings for compliance with design requirements and industry standards.

• Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and assist with documentation related to mechanical works and compliance requirements.

• Ensure all mechanical installations meet safety regulations, local authorities’ codes, and building requirements.

• Assist in preparing material take‑offs, cost estimates, and submitting technical proposals.

• Support preventive and corrective maintenance planning for mechanical systems.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

• Experience in ACMV installation and chiller plant systems is required.

• Exposure to commercial buildings such as office towers or retail mall environments preferred.

• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, site coordination, and installation works.

• Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively with project teams.
