A well-known M&E Sub-contractor firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to leverage engineering expertise and coordinate projects on-site. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, with a solid understanding of ISO standards and safety procedures. Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 and OHSAS 18000 standards.
  • Certification as an ISO Internal Quality Auditor.
  • Completion of the Building Construction Safety Supervisor Course.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate effectively with customers on-site.
  • Ensure engineering design compliance with relevant codes.
  • Maintain high standards of quality for materials.
  • Monitor and control suppliers' materials and subcontractors.
  • Produce and manage shop drawings and oversee coordination.
  • Prepare work schedules and participate in meetings.
  • Assist with quality and safety aligned with master planning.
  • Collaborate with contractors to minimize rework.
  • Manage site materials to reduce wastage.
  • Communicate closely with suppliers to prevent delays.
  • Identify nonconforming products to mitigate defects.
  • Implement new technologies to enhance productivity.
  • Monitor on-site progress and maintain communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will leverage your engineering expertise and site coordination skills to contribute to impactful projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and coordinate effectively with customers on-site.
  2. Ensure engineering design and compliance with relevant codes of practice in building services.
  3. Maintain high standards of quality for materials and installations in accordance with ISO quality plans.
  4. Coordinate, monitor, and control the quality of suppliers’ materials, equipment, and subcontractor installations.
  5. Produce and manage shop drawings and oversee drawing coordination.
  6. Prepare work schedules and participate in client and internal meetings.
  7. Assist in daily activities aligned with master planning schedules, focusing on quality and safety.
  8. Collaborate with main contractors to minimize rework and ensure proper coordination.
  9. Manage site materials and equipment to reduce wastage effectively.
  10. Communicate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to prevent delays in project progress.
  11. Identify nonconforming products or installations to mitigate defects.
