As a Mechanical Engineer at LionsBot, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering high-quality mechanical subsystems for our next‑generation cleaning robots. You will work hands‑on from concept to prototyping, testing, and production — contributing to real‑world robotics that make a global impact.
- Support the design and development of mechanical components and subassemblies for autonomous robotic systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including electrical, embedded, software, and compliance engineers to ensure seamless integration.
- Produce high‑quality CAD models, 2D drawings, and documentation (BOMs, GD&T, tolerance stack‑ups).
- Build and validate prototypes using 3D printing, machining, and rapid fabrication techniques.
- Conduct basic structural analysis, tolerance checks, and mechanical testing to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Assist in DFM/DFA reviews and ensure manufacturability across various processes (injection molding, sheet metal, CNC).
- Work closely with vendors and manufacturing teams to resolve build issues, iterate designs, and qualify parts for production.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to design iterations based on testing, feedback, and field data.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- 0–2 years of experience in product or hardware development, preferably in robotics, consumer electronics, or automation.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals.
- Hands‑on prototyping skills — able to fabricate, assemble, and iterate quickly.
- Good understanding of DFM/DFA principles and basic knowledge of mass manufacturing processes.
- Some experience working with suppliers or contract manufacturers is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Passion for robotics, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn and grow into larger responsibilities.
