Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead designated engineering projects, ensuring they meet customer specifications. The role involves effective communication with both technical and non-technical teams and managing design projects. Candidates should possess a degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, strong drafting skills in AutoCAD, and expertise in sealing systems for floating roofs in the oil and gas sector. This is a full-time, in-office position from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in relevant engineering field is preferred.
• 5+ years of API 650 work experience with floating roof design knowledge preferred.
• 5+ years design experience of sealing systems for floating roofs in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Work with international Engineering teams to execute assigned projects.
• Manage and take ownership of Engineering projects, creating schedules and budgets.
• Communicate all project updates within the Engineering team and associated Project Managers.

Skills

Effective communication in English

Strong drafting ability

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)

Experience in Inventor and Vault software

Education

HMT LLC has an open position for a Mechanical Engineer,the primary owner of designated Engineering projects, responsible forexecuting projects according to customer’s specifications and being a key pointof communication between the Engineering team and our Sales, ProjectManagement, Manufacturing, and Construction teams as required. The MechanicalEngineer is to be a well-rounded individual able to balance Engineering Designwith effective communication and leadership.

Position Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing,or related Engineering field (master’s degree preferred)
• Effectivelycommunicate in English technical subjects to both technical andnon-technical audiences (written and spoken)
• API 650 workexperience (5+ years) with floating roof design knowledge preferred
• Design experience (5+years) of sealing systems for floating roofs within the oil and gasindustry
• Strong draftingability with proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and experience in Inventorand Vault software
