VDL Enabling Technologies Group (Singapore) seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of complex semiconductor equipment and high-tech tooling. You will design, verify, and industrialize mechanical systems across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, proficiency in 3D CAD (Siemens NX or SolidWorks) and PLM tools, and a hands-on, collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams in Singapore.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of mechanical design and development experience in semiconductor/high-tech equipment.
• Experience with precision mechanical assemblies, motion systems, vacuum/clean-environment equipment advantageous.
• Proficient in 3D CAD (NX/SolidWorks) and PLM (Teamcenter) experience.

Mansioni

• Own and execute mechanical development work packages from requirements through concept, detailed design, verification, and release.
• Translate system requirements into detailed mechanical designs with 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Apply engineering principles in precision mechanics, dynamics, thermal effects, materials; perform tolerance analyses and basic simulations.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechatronics, software, manufacturing, assembly, and supply chain teams.
• Apply DfX principles: manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, reliability and cost optimization.
• Support design reviews, prototype integration, testing, validation, and qualification activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues during development, integration, and production ramp-up.
• Assist transfer of new designs into manufacturing.
