Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to produce manufacturing designs for various projects. Candidates with a relevant engineering diploma are welcome, including those with no experience. Responsibilities include creating SolidWorks designs, participating in product lifecycle management, and conducting engineering presentations. This role requires strong skills in SolidWorks, AutoCad, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualification in engineering (Material Science, Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas or equivalent).
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Competent in IT and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce SolidWorks design and drawings for catalog parts and custom parts.
• Participate in the full product life cycle from concept to production.
• Create 2D and 3D drawings.
• Evaluate design solutions and conduct full engineering testing.
• Support production in manufacturing, assembly, and fabrication of final products.
• Deliver engineering presentations to clients when necessary.

Job description

We have an opportunity within the Engineering Department for a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver manufacturing designs for both current and future projects. Candidates with no experience (but with Mechanical Engineering knowledge) are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Produce SolidWorks design and drawings for catalog parts as well as custom parts
• Be part of the full product life cycle from initial concept to full production
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings
• Evaluation of design solutions and carry out full engineering testing
• Support production in the manufacturing, assembly and fabrication of FA and final products
• Carry out Engineering presentations to clients where necessary

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Candidate must possess at minimum a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas) or equivalent.

Required Skill(s): SolidWorks, AutoCad, Mazatrol (preferred)

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Numerate & literate.

IT literate and have good organization skills.

Competent in Excel.
