Job summary

A marine engineering company based in Singapore is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to create and update technical drawings for mechanical designs. The successful candidate will utilize CAD software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, work with engineers to ensure compliance with specifications, and liaise with customers for design approvals. Required qualifications include a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the marine or offshore sector.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years relevant working experience in Marine/ Offshore/ Instrumental & Control / Hydraulic design & drafting.

Job Responsibilities

An AutoCAD Drafter uses (CAD) software to create technical drawings to help design the Mechanical drawings. Their duties include collaborating with Design team, generating digital drawings and schematics based on design specifications and preparing related technical documents.

  • Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, to prepare technical drawings
  • Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
  • Writing related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
  • Ensuring that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
  • Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates
  • Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available
  • Working with clients to ensure that their expectations are met. Involve in technical reviews, designing of the HPU, valve remote control and Tank gauging system
  • Establish engineering standard, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications.
  • Liaising with customer and classification society for design, approval related matters. Follow the marine and offshore regulations/ standard to apply the project design.
  • Any other assigned duties and responsibilities by immediate superior and/or higher management.
Job Requirements:
