About our group:

Seagate's Motor/Mechanical Commodity Management Teamis a global team thatplays a pivotal role in managing the mechanical supply base for Seagate System/HDD products. We oversee the entire spectrum of activities, from sourcing strategy and price negotiation to allocation decisions, contract management, supply chain business continuity, and risk mitigation. These responsibilities directlyimpactour products' raw material cost, influencing our Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and profit margins.

About the role - you will:

Joining our internship program means embarking on a journey that offers:

• Commodity Insight: You'llbeclosely linkedwith a specific mechanical commodity to gain a deep understanding of its management. Your task will include creating a comprehensive visual representation of the commodity management process.
• Understanding ofERP System: Delve into the workings of our newly deployed ERP system, SAP. Learn how to efficiently update cost information within the system, contributing to our operational excellence.
• Process Enhancement: Collaborate with the Commodity Management Team (CMT) to improve andoptimizeCMT workflows, thereby increasing operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: Gain hands-on experience working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Coaching and Negotiation: Receive guidance and space to learn the art of negotiation with key stakeholdersandvendors.

• Proficiencyin Tools:Exceptional skills in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation.
• Analytical Aptitude:Ability toutilizeanalytics toolssuch asTableau & Power BIandto be able to createdashboardsto ableto deliverthe essential informationeffectively.

• Interest in Supply Chain:If you have a particular interest in supply chain and program management,we'dlike to hear from you.

• Able to commit a full time internship (Jan to May)

Your experience includes:

• Currently enrolled in aBachelor'sin Mechanical EngineeringorSupplyChain Management, or a related field.
• Familiaritydata analytictools commonly used in supply chain and data analysis.
• Passion for analyticalthinking, whichis crucial for effective problem-solving.
• Effectivecommunication skills to articulate ideas clearlyto the respective stakeholders andvendors

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
