Mechanic Workshop (North, up to $4000 + AWS)

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of mechanics in the workshop, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Provide hands‑on support as a mechanic during manpower shortages to maintain operational continuity.
  • Oversee the car park management system, including the administration of season parking for tenants and staff.
  • Report daily workshop activities and operational updates to the Head of Maintenance and Workshop (HOD).
  • Act as the relief‑in‑charge during the HOD’s absence, ensuring all maintenance and workshop functions run efficiently.
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues, including engine, transmission, braking, electrical, and suspension systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and system inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with end users to understand issues, provide accurate assessments, and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve workshop performance.
Requirements
  • Candidate must have at least a diploma in any discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a car and bike mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role
  • Proficient in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of issues
  • Valid class 3 driver’s licence
  • Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
  • Leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of car insurance and road tax application will be added as an advantage
