Seagate International Headquarters Pte. Ltd. in Woodlands, Singapore, seeks a MDW Product & Process Qualification Intern to modernize a legacy GUI using C++/Qt and to embed AI-assisted features for diagnostics and usability.

The role focuses on migrating a Borland-based GUI, enhancing UI components, and ensuring clean integration with the existing C++ backend. Candidates should be pursuing a CS/CE degree and be able to commit to a full-time internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or related).
• Solid C/C++ and Python fundamentals with OOP concepts, memory management, and STL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance internal engineering tools supporting day-to-day operations.
• Modernize a legacy Borland-based Windows GUI into a cross-platform Qt-based UI.
• Embed AI-assisted capabilities to improve usability, diagnostics, and maintainability.
• Translate existing UI/UX and workflows to Qt Widgets and/or QML.
• Integrate UI with the C++ backend and refactor for clean separation.
• Add a Smart Diagnostics panel to collect logs, error codes, and status snapshots.
• Create and maintain migration notes, build instructions, and UI mappings.
