Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior MDM Engineer to support our Master Data Management (MDM) and Governance initiatives within the SAP ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone with foundational knowledge of data management who wants to grow their skills in SAP MDM/MDG, data governance, and master data processes (material, customer, vendor). You’ll work closely with senior MDM experts to maintain data quality, assist in data migration activities, and help ensure consistency across systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of SAP Master Data Management (MDM) and Governance (MDG) solutions.


• Assist in data migration tasks across Material Master, Customer Master, and Vendor Master domains.


• Help enforce data governance standards, policies, and procedures.


• Work with business and IT teams to ensure accurate and consistent master data across systems.


• Support data validation, cleansing, and quality monitoring activities.


• Participate in creating reports and dashboards to monitor data quality KPIs.


• Document master data processes, workflows, and data models.


• Collaborate with senior MDM team members to resolve data-related issues and contribute to process improvements.


• Learn and apply best practices in MDM, data governance, and SAP data management tools.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in Master Data Management or related data roles.


• Basic understanding of SAP MDM / MDG concepts.


• Familiarity with master data domains such as Material, Customer, Vendor.


• Good knowledge of data quality principles, validation, and governance concepts.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.


• Basic knowledge of SAP modules like MM, SD, or FI is an advantage.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Eagerness to learn and grow within the MDM and data governance space.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to data quality tools (e.g., SAP Data Services, Information Steward).


• Experience working with Excel, SQL, or reporting tools for data analysis.


• Basic understanding of data migration tools or ETL concepts.


• Interest in automation or data-driven technologies (AI/ML).
