Job summary

A materials consulting firm in Singapore is looking for an experienced individual for paint and coating testing in accordance with Singapore Standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or degree in Chemistry or related fields, preferably with experience in testing, and familiarity with laboratory standards. Responsibilities include performing tests, preparing specimens, and ensuring quality assurance in lab procedures. This is a full-time role offering a chance to work in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in paint, coating, or materials testing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Standards (SS) and/or ISO test methods is an advantage.
  • Experience working in an accredited laboratory (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025) is an added advantage.

  • Perform laboratory testing for paints, coatings, and sealers in accordance with SS7, SS345, and SS579.

R.A.K Materials Consultants Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to perform paint and coating testing in accordance with Singapore Standards (SS), including but not limited to SS7, SS345, and SS579.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform laboratory testing for paints, coatings, and sealers in accordance with SS7, SS345, SS579, and related standards
  • Prepare test specimens, conduct physical and chemical tests, and record results accurately
  • Interpret test data and assist in preparation of test reports
  • Ensure testing is conducted in compliance with laboratory quality and safety procedures
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and good housekeeping practices
  • Support audits, method development, and technical inquiries where required
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in paint, coating, or materials testing is preferred
  • Familiarity with Singapore Standards (SS) and/or ISO test methods is an advantage
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
  • Experience working in an accredited laboratory (e.g. ISO/IEC 17025) is an added advantage
