Job summary

ORICUS SEMICON SOLUTIONS PTE. LTD. seeks a materials scientist/engineer to improve polymer and elastomer formulations, translate requirements into validated specifications, and lead trials with suppliers and laboratories.

You will supervise technicians and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams. The role demands hands-on formulation optimization, experimental design, and a practical understanding of polymer processing to deliver reliable manufacturing methods and component

Qualifications

Four to six or more years of industrial materials/process development experience.
Degree in Materials Science/Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
Strong polymer science and plastics knowledge with molding experience.
Hands-on formulation improvement and process optimisation.
Ability to design experiments and analyze results.
Coordinate suppliers or laboratories and supervise technicians.
Experience applying polymer/plastic 3D printing in engineering/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Translate application needs into material requirements including properties.
Lead formulations improvements and develop trial variants with suppliers or labs.
Plan controlled formulation trials and document changes.
Define test plans, acceptance criteria, and sample conditioning.
Perform or coordinate physical and mechanical testing.
Investigate failures with root-cause analysis.
Provide material-selection guidance for molding projects.
Plan and supervise technician work and data review.
