Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking a Material Science Intern in Singapore to contribute to analytical testing and data interpretation within the Woodlands campus. The role offers hands-on exposure to ICPMS, ICPOES, GC-MS, LC-ToF, and related techniques under supervision, with opportunities to collaborate across engineering, QA and SQE teams.

The successful candidate will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and bring knowledge of analytical instruments, statistics, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry.
• Knowledge of analytical lab instruments and statistics.
• Experience in programming (MATLAB, Python, SQL, JMP) and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with data acquisition, result generation, report preparation, and publishing.
• Learn sample preparation techniques tailored to different materials and sample types.
• Collaborate with teams from engineering, QA, and SQE on sample analysis and submissions.
• Contribute to contamination quality improvement initiatives.
