Job summary

A leading chemical distributor in Singapore is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to manage the purchasing process, optimize inventory levels, and develop demand forecasting strategies. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of end-to-end supply chain experience and be well-versed in Excel and seafreight operations. This is a permanent, hybrid role with a focus on effective customer order fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of end-to-end supply chain experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel is required.
• Knowledge of seafreight operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire purchasing process, including the creation and issuance of Purchase Orders.
• Perform inventory management to optimize stock levels.
• Develop and implement demand forecasting using analytics and automation tools.
• Generate and manage purchase orders based on forecasts and inventory targets.
• Coordinate communication by distributing forecasts to external suppliers.

About the Job

• Manage the entire purchasing process, including the creation and issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers.
• Perform inventory management to optimize stock levels and prevent issues with shortages or overstocking.
• Develop and implement demand forecasting using analytics and automation tools.
• Generate and manage purchase orders based on forecasts and inventory targets, prioritizing factors like cost, lead times, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate communication by compiling and distributing weekly/monthly forecasts to external suppliers.

Skills and Experience Required

• Diploma in any discipline
• Preferably candidates with at least 5 years of end-to-end supply chain experience
• Well-versed in Excel and seafreight operations
