Job Summary

The Material Planner / Buyer is responsible for managing procurement of materials and products necessary for the companys operations. This role involves planning to improve productivity quality and efficiency of operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills be detail-oriented and have experience in inventory management and supplier negotiation. Develop and execute purchasing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery of materials.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels to support businesses through strategic planning and daily MRP review
  • Lead SIOP meetings and to meet company goals in terms of Inventory holding Turns and On-Time shipment & lead SIOP sections
  • Process and manage purchasing orders to meet delivery requests
  • Owns the item and supplier data attributes in system
  • Experienced in setting up various inventory management policies with suppliers
  • Setup and evaluate supplier performance KPI for improvement
  • Hands-on experience to initiate and accomplish IT improvement projects
  • Data mining and analyze of inventory to seek improvement
  • Initiates sourcing to internal and external stakeholders
  • Other job assigned by supervisor or management
Basic Qualifications
  • Degree or Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing high product mix environment
  • Strong problem solving capability interpersonal skills analytical skills attention to detail and continuous improvement mindset
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel Access Office 365
  • Oracle and / or SAP experience is a plus
